METAL DETECTION IN MADELEINES
For over 50 years, Elcowa has been helping companies to achieve quality. In this article, we share with you an example of a customer installation.
The company and its expectations
Henry’s has specialized in the manufacture of cookies and individual cakes such as madeleines since 1929. As market leader, our partner wanted to maintain this position by optimizing its quality process.
To this end, he wanted to install several metal detectors at the end of each madeleines production line. This would enable him to check the conformity of his finished products before packaging.
In addition, metal detectors are installed at the dough mixer exit upstream of the cutting process to avoid any risks.
Indeed, metal particles can sometimes accidentally find their way into products, either from equipment or from human interaction.
With the aim of protecting consumers and equipment alike, we helped our customer develop a tailor-made solution, perfectly adapted to its equipment and production lines.
Our solution
A metal detection device has been installed at the end of the production line to allow verification of finished products.
To ensure accurate detection of metal particles, it is essential that the aperture size is perfectly matched to the madeleines.
In addition, the detector is equipped with a conveyor designed to fit into the existing production line.
