HOW DOES AN ANTI-STATIC BAR WORK?
Electrostatic charges can be the cause of many problems in your production processes: problems with gluing, employees can suffer electric shocks, and so on.
Elcowa antistatic bars, the simplest solution to eliminate these charges
For over 50 years, Elcowa has been developing and designing antistatic equipment, including customized antistatic bars, to effectively improve your manufacturing processes. However, little is known about how these bars work.
How do Elcowa’s anti-static bars work?
Our anti-static bars generate an ionic field that alters nearby air molecules, transforming them into positive and negative ions and neutralizing electrostatic charges.
Our bars rely on the accumulation of capacitive charges at each tip. The corona effect is obtained as soon as the capacitor is saturated. The advantage of this process is to avoid the inconvenience caused by accidental contact with live bars.
What’s more, on request, we can integrate a tubular aluminum section to act as an expansion chamber for the compressed air. Compressed air considerably extends the electric field emitted by the bar.
