The company and its expectations
The Sodias company we work with specializes in frozen fruit. In order to improve their quality control process, and meet export customer requirements (HACCP, IFS, BRC), they wanted to integrate metal detectors into their production line.
In fact, metal particles can sometimes accidentally find their way into products, either from equipment or from human interaction.
In order to protect consumers and their equipment, the company called on our services to develop a tailor-made solution adapted to their production lines and manufacturing volumes.
Our solution
To ensure optimum control quality, two installations were undertaken.
Firstly, a first detector was installed to examine bulk products after freezing. Secondly, a second device was installed to inspect the cartons containing the goods, thus guaranteeing the total absence of metal particles in finished and packaged products.
In addition, each detector is equipped with an integrated conveyor designed to fit in with existing production lines.
