The majority of food losses in France are the result of non-conforming products during quality control.
Some finished products may be contaminated by foreign bodies of all kinds. For the safety of the end consumer, manufacturers sometimes choose to destroy all potentially contaminated production.
Unfortunately, many units could have been kept without posing any health risk.
Our solution
For over 25 years, Elcowa has been working with manufacturers to combat food waste.
Thanks to our food product re-inspection service, we use state-of-the-art technology to rigorously inspect our customers’ products before they enter the market. Contaminated products are identified and isolated in separate cartons. The goods are then repalletized identically.
In this way, compliant products are preserved, avoiding considerable production waste.
